Event Description: Opera Kelowna’s Opening Season Gala Concert. A black-tie and full-gown affair including a pre-concert caviar cocktail reception and dinner and an after concert party at the beautiful Kelowna Art Gallery. After dinner we will walk over to the Mary Irwin Theatre to celebrate some of our favourite Eastern European composers including Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Arensky, Rubenstein and Chopin through song, ballet, piano and strings. Guest artists include Artistic Director and Lyric Soprano Alexandra Kosachukova Babbel, Baritone Andrew Greenwood, Pianist Arnold Draper, Cellist Martin Krátky, Violinist Karen Krout and Toronto based ballet dancers Cristina Graziano and Gabriel Ritzmann Sarmento. The event will feature artistic rendered sets, event themed food and caterers, signature drinks, a special live auction and a 90-minute concert. Dinner and concert tickets are sold separately.
