Event Description: While he is often remembered for having planned and brought Expo to BC while Mayor of Vancouver and for, in 1991, becoming only the second NDP Premiere in the Province’s history at that time, in many ways, it’s his life after serving in office that has made Mike Harcourt an inspirational figure to many British Columbians. In 2002, at his home on Pender Island, Mike Harcourt fell from his deck, nearly 20 feet to the ocean below, landing face first in the water. Barely alive, Mike survived the accident only to face the life changing consequences of a severe spinal cord injury sustained from the fall. For the past twelve years, Mike Harcourt’s stories has touched thousands of lives and serves as an inspiration as he’s battled to overcome the obstacles of a disability. On October 15th, from 7:00 – 8:30pm, Pathways Abilities Society is proud to present An Evening With Mike Harcourt at the Mary Irwin Theatre in Kelowna’s Rotary Centre for the Arts on Water Street. Mike will discuss his life, his career and the very personal side of living life with a disability. Admission is free, though seating is limited. Seating will be first come first serve.

Directions:
Mary Irwin Theatre, Rotary Centre for the Arts.
