Event Description: Certified BCorps are redefining success in business to include delivering value to all stakeholders versus simply shareholders. The key challenge in a stakeholder-driven economy is measuring what matters and the B Impact Assessment is a solid platform to do so. Certified BCorps measure return on investment to all stakeholders (e.g. environment, community, employees and shareholders) through the B Impact Assessment. Certified BCorps are companies that use business as a force for good: • Attract and Retain Top Talent: 50% of the global workforce are millennials who desire to work for a purpose driven organization (Harvard Business Review). • Measure What Matters and Benchmark Performance: over 15,000 organizations have completed the B Impact Assessment, which enables benchmarking of stakeholder impact across organizations. • Differentiate from the Pretenders: “73% of consumers care about the company, not just the product when making a purchasing decision.” (BBMG) Though to become a certified BCorp, you must be a for-profit entity, the “BCorp Bootcamp: Better Your Business” will offer tools for any type of organization to begin or advance their practices of measuring what matters.
