Event Description: Saturday, December 6th will be an especially festive, family fun-filled day in downtown Kelowna! Gather the entire clan from Grandparents to your littlest elves and beginning at 10 am, participate in the Running Room’s 24th annual Santa Shuffle to benefit The Salvation Army and its Christmas hamper program. Returning racers and new participants will enjoy the new venue in the heart of downtown. Date: Saturday, December 6th, 2014 at 10:00 am. Location: Prospera Place, Kelowna Registration is available online until December 3rd Holiday attire is encouraged while you either stroll in a 1k Elf walk at Prospera Place or run the full 5k route which takes you through the spectacular Waterfront Park and City Park looping back to Prospera Place to the finish line. The energetic Results 4 Life Fitness Team lead by Rhonda Laturnus will help get everyone warmed up before they head off for the run. NEW THIS YEAR…Catch a Running Room Pace Elf and you’ll earn an extra ticket for door prizes! Continue family fun with great Downtown Kelowna Association Light Up Events that begin in various downtown venues at 11 am. Santa Shuffle winners will be welcomed on the Light Up stage to help Santa as he “lights up” the beautiful Christmas tree at 5 pm in Kerry Park. Local Race Director, Suzie Docherty, Volunteer Coordinator for The Salvation Army Kelowna thanks Jacqui Allison and the Running Room team, Team 103.9 – The Juice, Results 4 Life Fitness and welcomes new partner the Downtown Kelowna Association and their annual Light Up! Post event refreshments, awards and a unique Santa Shuffle finishers’ medal will be presented to all participants.
