Event Description: On this Valentine’s Day, let’s take a moment to reflect on what ‘Love’ is, and share some love with our homeless community while raising awareness and funds for three amazing social organizations. Together Open For Change, Q103.1, Metro Community, Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs, and Inn From The Cold are bringing you our Love Inn event. This FREE activity-filled day includes: • Lunch and dinner being served to our community, to warm spirits on a cold day. • Guest speakers, musicians and artists being featured throughout the day, sharing their personal stories of life on the streets. • Inspirational movies that address homelessness being available for viewing • Teams participating in “The Pack a Sack Run”, utilizing pre-determined clues and a list of businesses downtown where items can be found. Backpacks will be donated to each of our beneficiaries. • Team OFC Volunteers making soup, in cooperation with Soup Sisters, to be donated to shelters around the city. • Our title sponsor, Q103.1 FM broadcasting live on location plus the Q Cruiser visiting event locations to help raise awareness. • Draw prizes, consisting of donated products and services from local businesses, being displayed during the event. Tickets for the draw will be sold on-site. • Live art by a local artist which will be sold through a silent auction. Who: Contribution Campaign #2 beneficiaries: Inn from the Cold, Metro Community & Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs Emergency Youth Shelter.
