Event Description: Make sure you know your basics! This session will cover the basic legal and accounting knowledge helpful to anyone thinking about or starting their own business. After the presentation there will be a 20 minute question and answer period. You will leave this session with not only a wealth of knowledge, but also a legal and accounting checklist to start you off on the right track. This session is a part of Startup Basics. Developed for early stage entrepreneurs and career-changers, the Startup Basics Program supplies participants with the tools and resources to accelerate their idea to the next stage in their entrepreneurial journey. Startup Basics is comprised of weekly sessions and seminars occurring from September to December 2015. Sessions are presented by Community Organizations, Accelerate Okanagan Executive in Residence Mentors, Partners, Clients, and Alumni. Each session is designed to educate the entrepreneur on the fundamentals essential to developing their startup.
