Event Description: Sponsored by: VALLEY FIRST, a division of First West Credit Union Event Summary: Join members of the Human Resources Management Association (HRMA) for the Southern Interior Region's signature annual Swing in to Summer event including a networking lunch, special guest speaker, golf or a fun 'painting & wine' experience in the afternoon. This is the largest mid-year event and we are delighted to return to Two Eagles Golf Course for 2016. - Fabulous lunch from the chefs at 19 Okanagan Grill - Passionate keynote speaker Karen Bowen* will present an engaging after-lunch talk on "How Come it Goes the Way it Goes?" A fun & thought provoking look at why are organizations, and humans, are predictable and why does this predictability often not quite get us the results we want? - Meet Kelly Aslanowicz, HRMA's new Senior Business Development Manager - Mentoring program wrap-up - Volunteer recognition - Regional review/preview - Networking, prizes and more! Plus after-lunch options: i) 9 holes of golf at the beautiful Two Eagles course with KP & LD prizes; or ii) Painting & wine experience. Join fun loving Kris Ponto for this "vin & van Gogh" relaxed, recreational painting class. You will come away with your own masterpiece on canvas, with a glass of wine included along the way. No art or painting experience needed - good for everyone wanting an alternative to golf. * Speaker Karen Bowen has 20+ years of experience in creating positive workplaces through change management, employee engagement, cultural transformation, innovative strategic designs, systems thinking, and learning development programs.
