Event Description: Okanagan Stomp, presented by BDO is a fun event for teams to test their creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills as part of a larger cancer-fighting community. Register your team of 5-8 people and get started fundraising today! Are you ready to roll up your pants, kick off your shoes and stomp some grapes for a good cause? Then get a team together and join this uniquely Okanagan event! Teams compete in a series of wine-related activities including Blind Taste Testing, Mystery Food Box Challenge and the Stomp Performance - a 3 minute lip sync performance in the grape stomping barrel. Amazing prizes, wine, and fun team-building exercises, what could be better? Proceeds from the 2016 Okanagan Stomp event will benefit the Canadian Cancer Society BC & Yukon Division's Camp Goodtimes. For every $1500.00 raised we will be able to send one spectacular child and their family to Camp. Our goal is to send not 1, not 2 but 3 children to camp for summer experience they & their family will never forget. CAMP GOODTIMES Since 1985, Camp Goodtimes has been committed to providing a camping experience for children affected by cancer. Camp has grown from assisting 25 children in our first year, to providing a supportive and fun camping experience for almost 600 children and family members each year. Over the past 21 years 10,000 children and families have attended Camp Goodtimes. Camp is a summer recreation program that provides a unique summer experience for children and teens affected by cancer and their families. Set in the scenic landscape of Loon Lake in Maple Ridge, Camp Goodtimes provides a safety-focused, fun, recreational program at no cost to participants. Camp Goodtimes is accredited by the British Columbia Camping Association and the Canadian Association of Pediatric Oncology Camps (CAPOC).
