Event Description: Powered by Accelerate Okanagan, Entrepreneurs Unplugged features an experienced entrepreneur who shares his/her startup experiences. Community members will have an opportunity to learn how a successful startup is created, as well as the chance to ask questions to the guest entrepreneur and network with members of the local entrepreneurial community. On November 14th, as part of the Entrepreneurs Unplugged interview series, Warren Houston, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Powered by Search will tell his story at Okanagan Spirits Craft Distillery. Past guests of Entrepreneurs Unplugged have included Chris Heivly, Delna Bhesania, Brenda Gershkovitch, Ryan Holmes, Steve Blank, Geoffrey Moore, Rasool Rayani, Jonathan Wolske, Sascha Williams, Robert Reich, Lane Merrifield and Lance Priebe. Warren Houston is an Executive in Residence (EiR) with Accelerate Okanagan. Warren received his MBA at the University of Western Ontario’s Richard Ivey School of Business. He also received his Bachelors Degree from the University of Western Ontario in Economics. Warren is currently a Partner with Powered by Search, a Profit Hot 50 & Branham 300 Ranked SEO & Inbound Marketing Agency. Warren also co-founded Business.ca in 2001 and raised over $2 million in venture capital funding. Warren specializes in systemizing businesses, minimizing risks, sales growth, digital marketing and growing businesses organically. Warren has a strong passion for baseball and basketball and enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 kids. *Please note that the venue has limited capacity.
