Event Description: Central Okanagan Elizabeth Fry Society and Kelowna Women’s Shelter have joined forces to host Be Bold for Change, a fundraiser designed to promote gender equality and inclusivity, and celebrate International Women’s Day 2017. The event takes place from 5 to 7:30 pm on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. Tickets are just $35 and include a glass of wine, delicious appetizers, live music by DJ Footwerk, the opportunity to take home fabulous raffle and auction items, and an inspiring presentation by athlete and social entrepreneur Crystal Flaman. International Women’s Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievement of women, while encouraging men and women to do their part to promote equality, and take action to champion gender parity.
