MEDIA EVENT: 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Free Electronic Disposal

WHEN: Saturday, April 23rd LOCATION: 1000 KLO Rd, Kelowna – Okanagan College (Please enter from Campus West Rd.)

TIME: 9am – 3 pm Details: 1-800-GOT-JUNK? is holding a free electronic disposal day in recognition of the 41st Anniversary of International Earth Day.

The following items will be accepted for free disposal at this event:

Televisions (up to a maximum width of 48") 

Computer Monitors (CRT and LCD)

Computer towers, laptops, netbooks

Tablet computers

Printers 

 Keyboards, mice, cables On-site shredding of confidential documents will also be available, courtesy of Okanagan Paper Shredding.

Background: 2011 marks the 4th annual 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Free Electronic Waste Event in recognition of Earth Day. Last year’s event was so successful, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? has planned another opportunity to encourage Okanagan residents and businesses to live greener lives.

This year’s partners include: Organizing Help; Planet Earth Recycling; and Okanagan Paper Shredding.
