Event Description: This year we are planning The Kelowna Nectar Trail, and we’ve planned some great bee-related art projects and seminars! Gabe Cipes (Summerhill Winery) will give us a hands on introduction to growing without pesticides in the Okanagan using a Biodynamic approach. We will be meeting outside come rain or shine, so dress for the weather! Gabe Cipes is a Permaculture designer, viticulturist, biodyamicist and beekeeper based out of Summerhill Pyramid Winery (the largest certified organic and biodynamic winery in Canada). He is V.P. of Demeter Canada, V.P. of Biodynamic Associations of BC (BDASBC) and a Director for the Certified Organic Associations of BC (COABC). He is also an advisory board member and technical/operations consultant for Aquaponic Farming Systems Superfoods ltd.
