You are already doing HR (Human Resources) but what should that look like, what legal responsibilities do you have and where can you get help? Many small/mid-size businesses struggle with HR as their number one challenge, so this session is designed to provide practical and clear information on:
- ‘What I absolutely must do’ as an employer: meeting minimum legal requirements
- ‘What I really should do’: fundamental best employment practices (such as good recruitment techniques, employee record keeping & what to include in employment contracts)
- ‘Where can I get help?’: many resources are available such as HR Consultants, the Employment Standards Office, the internet and employment lawyers. The presenters will guide you on where to turn to and when.
