Event Description: Accelerate Okanagan is very excited to announce the launch of the second annual Jump:Start:Challenge! Calling the hottest technology startups, entrepreneurs and growth companies – are you ready to take your business to the next level? Designed to help technology companies and entrepreneurs raise investment, increase their revenues and drive market share, the Jump:Start Challenge is an “investor-ready” pitch competition. Entrants to the Jump:Start:Challenge will be invited to present their pitches at an open forum in the Jim Pattison Centre of Excellence, Penticton, on September 11th and will then have an opportunity to participate in Pitch Workshop training sessions, at which they will be taught the “rules of pitching”. Prizes: • The top 10 entrants will receive eight weeks of expert training, coaching and mentorship to improve their “pitches” and increase their chances of raising capital. • Five finalists will get to present their business ideas to pre-selected members of the investment community – in the Okanagan and Vancouver. • The top 3 companies will also win free office space and free enrollment in the Accelerate Okanagan Venture Acceleration Program .
