Event Description: Project Literacy Kelowna Society's annual fundraiser began on September 4th with the distribution of donation cans to 30 locations across Kelowna. The fundraiser peaks on September 19th, from 7 – 9am and 11:30am - 1:30pm when volunteers will be at key locations from West Kelowna to Rutland asking the public to make a donation in exchange for a Special Edition of the Kelowna Daily Courier. 100% of proceeds support Project Literacy Kelowna Society’s free one-on-one adult tutoring program. A program that for 25 years has helped adults gain the critical literacy skills they need to thrive, and contribute to Kelowna’s economic development.


Directions:
Donate now at these partner locations: The Daily Courier; Project Literacy Kelowna Society; all TD Canada Trust branches; all Starbucks locations; both Mosaic Books stores; Harmony Honda - Acura; Enterprise Rent-a-Car; Bai Tong Resturant; AM1150; Dunnenzies Pizza; and Annegret’s Chocolates. Donate on September 19th and receive a special edition of the Daily Courier at these locations from 7 - 9 am: Giobean Coffee Shop (1320 Water St.); Duncan’s Café (375 Lawrence Ave.); TD Canada Trust (1648 Ellis St.); BeanScene coffee at 1615 Dickson Ave.; Tim Hortons/Wendy’s at 330 Highway 97 in West Kelowna; and at all Starbucks locations: 3151 Lakeshore Road; 3957 Lakeshore Road; 1500 Banks Road; 2709 Highway 97; #23-590 Highway 33; 2365 Gordon Drive; 2271 Harvey Avenue; 1110 Harvey Avenue; 118-300 Riverside Drive at in West Kelowna; and 2475 Dobbin Road in West Kelowna. Or donate from 11:30am to 1:30pm for a paper on Bernard Ave at Blenz Coffee (297 Bernard Ave.); Starbucks Coffee (387 Bernard Ave.); at Mill St. in front of Kelly O’Bryan’s; and at St. Paul in front of the Mad Mango. Or at the Brown Bag Bistro 100- 1854 Kirschner Rd.
