Event Description: n Tuesday, October 8, 2013 KPMG, in collaboration with Imagine Canada, will be hosting a webcast on upcoming changes related to financial reporting by Canada’s Not-for-Profit Organizations (NPOs). Canada’s accounting standard setters are proposing to adjust many of the special rules that NPOs currently use in preparing their financial statements and will require NPOs to more closely follow the rules that apply to the commercial sector. Significant changes are being proposed. The anticipated changes are based on 15 proposed supporting principles which were jointly prepared in a Statement of Principals (SOP) by Canada’s Accounting Standards Board and Public Sector Accounting Board and published in April 2013.
