Event Description: Russell W. Belk, a renowned consumer behaviour and marketing scholar, discusses our online identities in a free public talk presented by UBC's Faculty of Management. On Nov. 26 at the Rotary Centre for the Arts, Belk discusses how the Internet affects who we are online—our “extended self”—as well as the benefits and dangers of blogging, rating products, and posting on favourite networks such as YouTube, Flickr, and Facebook.
