Event Description: The Kelowna District & Society for People In Motion, would like to extend an invitation for you to participate in our 2nd Annual Ski-A-Thon on Sunday March 2, 2014. It is our hope that with the help of individual and corporate pledges, and community and corporate sponsorship, we can upgrade our life-equipped van, and continue to provide this unique rental service to individuals and families both living in, and visiting the Okanagan Valley. How can you participate? People In Motion is looking to the community for both corporate sponsorship, and corporate team pledges to make our Ski-A-Thon a success! You can register at the following link http://www.gifttool.com/athon/AthonDetails?ID=2091&AID=2588 There are 2 registration options for corporate participation… 1. Corporate sponsor. As a corporate sponsor, you are not expected to be at the Ski-A-Thon, or participate in the skiing. A corporate sponsorship can include a donation towards the purchase of a new lift-equipped van, or can be the donation of a non-monetary prize for a variety of prize winning categories. How will you be recognized? Your company name and/or logo will be included in all marketing, and Ski-A-Thon event promotional material. In addition, your name and/or logo will be displayed on the new lift-equipped van. 2. Corporate team. Your company or corporation will have the opportunity to register a corporate team. As a team you will be asked to collect donations or pledges for the Ski-A-Thon. The best way to participate as a team is to have one team leader that creates the team on the registration page. When individuals register they can then choose to register as part of a team. Make sure to pick a name for your team! People In Motion’s Ski-A-Thon is a great opportunity for company team building, while contributing to a great local cause! Each individual skier is expected to pay a $20.00 registration fee (excluding sponsors). This registration fee pays for a 1 year People In Motion membership, a BBQ lunch on the day of the Ski-A-Thon, and a People In Motion tote bag. People In Motion’s Ski-A-Thon is not a competitive event. The donations or pledges that you collect are not based on the number of runs you do in the day. The Ski-A-Thon is designed to promote the programs and services that People In Motion provides to children and adults with disAbilities, provide a safe and organized environment for children and adults to try out adaptive equipment, raise awareness regarding the variety of winter adaptive and non-adaptive recreation opportunities for children and adults with disabilities, and to raise money for People In Motion so we can continue to provide our unique transportation services to residents and visitors of the Okanagan Valley.
