Integrated Disability Management

Work days lost from disabilities related to mental health, chronic pain, and complex multi-diagnosis claims can be challenging to manage.  In addition, direct payroll costs for short-term disabilities, long-term disabilities, and workers’ compensation claims to employers in 2008 was $16 billion.  Most employers would like to provide much needed assistance to their employees when they get sick, while still balancing the need to maintain productivity in the workplace and contain costs.

This presentation provides HR professionals with the practical and effective Integrated Disability Management (IDM) model that can be used in any work setting.  The IDM model focuses on reducing the human and economic challenges of disability in an ethical, professional, cost effective, and accountable manner.  The IDM Model increases employees’ productivity and job satisfaction, as well as reduces the direct cost of disability to employers of up to 30%.
