The Kelowna Chamber of Commerce is celebrating BC Mining Week for a business luncheon featuring keynote speaker Karina Briño, President and CEO of the Mining Association of British Columbia.

As part of BC Mining Week 2014, Briño will speak to Kelowna's business leaders about the important role of the mining industry on the economy and B.C. communities.
From Tumbler Ridge to downtown Vancouver, to the Okanagan and beyond, British Columbians across the province benefit from mining operations through increased employment opportunities and increased revenue for governments - which helps fund crucial services such as education and health care. From investments in social programs and infrastructure to the role of mining in today's technology driven economy, mining contributes every day to the lives of all British Columbians. Ms. Briño will speak to what a strong and responsible mining industry means to the province, as well as the people of Kelowna.
