Event Description: Distinctly Kelowna Tours is proud to announce that we will be hosting our third annual Charity Wine Tour on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Net proceeds will go to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, BC Branch. Sample award winning wines at four unique wineries and delicious cheese at Carmelis Goat Cheese Artisan. We will be visiting CedarCreek Estate Winery, Summerhill Pyramid Winery, Tantalus Vineyards and St. Hubertus Estate Winery. Guests will be picked up and dropped off at their accommodations and travel in our comfortable 24 passenger bus. Everyone will receive a gift bag and a snack prepared by the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort’s Chef Stuart Klassen. All participants in the tour will be entered to win a gift basket featuring a winery tour for two, a gift certificate for the Grand Bay Café, wines from all the featured wineries and cheese from Carmelis. The chosen charity has a special significance for Distinctly Kelowna Tours owner, Debbie Dupasquier, as she donated a kidney to her mother in 2012. Organ donation saves lives. Over 85% of British Columbians are in favor of organ donation, yet only 19% of British Columbians are registered organ donors. The Kidney Foundation of Canada, BC Branch is committed to increasing public awareness and support for organ donation and transplantation. The cost for the tour is $94.00 plus GST per person.
