Event Description: FEBRUARY 6th will be an evening of fun entertainment...a play called ART, a comedy/drama, followed by an art auction of select works from the Jack Messett Collection. Jack Messett passed away of Cancer this past year, and has generously donated his work to the Central Okanagan Hospice Association. Messett, described by close friends as a quiet and private person, lived in Kelowna and kept his artistic work hidden from the world, not even allowing close friends to purchase his amazing pieces! His public work, though, is on display to all who visit most any nightclub in the Okanagan. Messett designed and decorated many club venues with his artistic creations; by trade he was an accomplished custom sign maker. For the first time ever, his framed landscapes and abstract works will be made available to the public Saturday Feb 6th, 2010 for the benefit of the Central Okanagan Hospice Association. The collection is destined to attract broad attention among collectors and aficionados of great art in limited supply. I have attached a list of the Artwork which will be for sale in the Art Auction. Funds raised at this event will help the Central Okanagan Hospice Association (COHA) provide volunteer support to improve the quality of life for those living with or dying from advanced illness and also help provide bereavement support for families and loved ones experiencing grief.
