Event Description: ME SO YOU SO ME Featuring OUT INNERSPACE Dance Theatre “Unlike anything you’ve ever seen” Georgia Straight A simple true story told by extraordinary characters, ME SO YOU SO ME summons cartoon inspired alter egos, inner animals and comic book heroes to reveal who we think we are, who we want to be and who we become in relationship to the one we love. Fueled by Japanese historical and pop culture, classical Indian tabla rhythms and cartoons, this work reveals projections of the self, through the dynamic of a couple and through the genre-defying music of experimental Japanese percussionist Asa Chang. Led by David Raymond and Tiffany Trethgarten, Out Innerspace Dance Theatre is part of an exciting generation of emerging contemporary dance in Canada. Their combined study and creation experiences have taken place in Brazil, Italy, The Czech Republic, The Netherlands and across Canada with significant residencies in New York, Seoul and Antwerp. They’re interdisciplinary backgrounds include video design, sound design, hip hop and theatre. www.outinnerspace.ca
